Oh Balls
In this mini-series, anthropomorphic golf balls navigate life’s challenges on and off the course—whether it’s breaking out of prison (the range), undergoing mental rehabilitation in a ball refurbishment factory, or facing the existential crisis of being a virgin approaching that first hole.


ABOUT THE PROJECT
Golf is more than a game—it’s an outlet, a ritual, and for many, a way to connect. But for all the love we give it, no one has ever considered the thoughts and struggles of one of its main components: the ball.
Oh Balls brings golf balls to life, revealing their untold journeys—whether they’re chasing glory on the fairway, fighting for survival in the range, or questioning their very existence in the rough. At the end of the day, they’re not so different from us. They just want a bag to call home.
The series takes an anthology-style approach, with each episode telling a standalone story in the vast landscapes of golf. Similar to Black Mirror and Love, Death & Robots, every installment introduces new characters, challenges, and perspectives—sometimes hilarious, sometimes brutal, but always uniquely Oh Balls.
MY ROLE: PRODUCER
Creative and Narrative Development
- Conceptualized the Series - Developed the original idea and overarching themes, ensuring a cohesive narrative that resonates with audiences. Moreover, compiled an extensive series bible detailing themes, tone, world-building elements, format, and episode synopses.
- Developed Scripts - Wrote three complete episodes, and will oversee the authorship of additional episodes, ensuring sharp dialogue, engaging storylines, and a balance of satire and depth. (Read the pilot below.)
- Visual Direction - Sole creator of all storyboards, character design, and environmental concepts, maintaining a unique and consistent artistic vision. (See works below.)
- Innovation in Development - Implemented groundbreaking workflow using Midjourney to streamline conceptualization and presentation, enhancing early-stage development with rapid prototyping and visualization. (See Pre-Vis and Storyboards below.)
Production Management
- End-to-End Production Oversight – Managing all aspects of production, from pre-production through post-production.
- Animation House Collaboration – Selecting and working closely with an animation studio to ensure the series meets creative and technical expectations.
- Budgeting & Scheduling – Overseeing production budgets, resource allocation, and timelines for the pilot and season rollout.
- Creative & Editorial Control – Supervising animation, voice acting, sound design, and final edits to maintain the show’s tone and vision.
Business & Production Strategy
- Legal & Ownership Structure – Establishing and managing the business framework, including Articles of Incorporation, Collaboration Agreements, Operating Agreements, and LLC structure.
- Budgeting & Valuation – Creating financial models and budgets for the teaser, pilot, and full season, ensuring a clear roadmap for scalable production.
- Funding & Investor Strategy – Developing investment materials, financial projections, and valuation assessments to secure funding and maximize long-term viability.
- Competitive Market Analysis – Conducting extensive industry research, positioning Oh Balls effectively within the growing adult animation and golf entertainment markets.
- Marketing & Merchandising – Outlining a comprehensive brand strategy, identifying Oh Balls' unique position at the crossroads between the animation merchandise market and golf merchandise market.
Future of the Series
As Oh Balls transitions from development to pre-production, the road ahead is clear: script and budget locks, legal finalization, and assembling the right partners to bring the series to life.
